Artists At Work

Anthony Christian is a very unusual artist for many reasons, perhaps unique. Amongst the many things which justify that description of him is the fact that he has painted under so many circumstances, and in so many countries across Asia, Europe and the United States. He has on more than one occasion had to strap himself to walls or the roots of trees so that he would not be blown off great heights by wicked winds. By happy chance - even in the foothills of Nepal - someone has been nearby with a camera and fascinated by the rare sight of "An Artist At Work" has recorded the event. More recently, living in South India, Christian's artist wife Fanny, who is also a superb photographer, has recorded Christian working in many very beautiful landscapes and often in the most unusual circumstances.

Looking through a collection of these pictures recently, the Christians realised they had not only a beautiful book of photos to publish, but one that wasn't quite like any book ever seen before. They have spent several months working on the design and presentation and the results will soon be ready for publishing. Until then, a sample of the images present in "An Artist At Work" can be seen here on the ICHOR website, and their labour of love can finally be shared with the world.
