The National Gallery

It was a very unique privilege that I was granted by the National Gallery, being allowed to study there by copying the great Old Masters. From ten years old I was granted special permission from school to have the afternoons off on thursdays and fridays, the two days a week students are allowed to copy in museums thoughout the world. Every thursday and friday afternoon I would arrive there at the National Gallery thrilled by what I was learning there. One day a photographer arrived from out of nowhere and took this photo just before I entered to start my afternoon's work. I was just eleven years old by then.
